Encore Theatre Company

Encore Theatre Company and Heritage Isle Credit Union have successfully partnered since June 2010, and in that time three key principles have shone through during our association.

Heritage Isle Credit Union’s partnership with Encore has supported the creation of Encore’s mentoring program which has provided a powerful means to motivate and inspire young people throughout Launceston and Northern Tasmania.
Encore is run entirely by volunteers, and in 2010 Encore presented 4 theatrical productions bringing together the artistic technical and administrative talents of approximately 160 cast members, 80 crew, 40 musicians and 120 theatre ushers.
The partnership not only brings about the creation of local community theatre, but also demonstrates HICU’s commitment to young people and the nurturing and promotion of new talent through Encore’s mentoring program.
Heritage Islanders Netball Club
Heritage Isle Credit Union have been a proud sponsor of the Heritage Islanders Netball Club for the past 10 years. This relationship has grown with both parties goals being achieved by being able to offer players of all ages the opportunity to participate in the game of Netball to learn new skills, the challenge of competition, but best of all the opportunity to make friends for a life. The sponsorship is all about being able to support a club that give up numerous volunteering hours to be able to provide a safe environment for young girls and boys to play.
Northern Tasmanian Netball Association
Heritage Isle Credit Union have had a relationship with the Northern Tasmanian Netball Association for the past 4 years. This sponsorship has been utilised by the Association to provide better playing surfaces and equipment for the Association to compete in regular Association competitions across the state and Regional academy. Heritage Isle are working with the NTNA to achieve their Vision – “ The NTNA will be the leading association in the state for participation, development of players, officials & Administration”.

Run the Ridge
Heritage Isle are the major sponsor of Run the Ridge Run/Walk, since inception in 2007. The initiative is a joint effort of Events South and the Rowella Hall Committee. Heritage Isle are keen to continue involvement with this venture, as it is not only aimed at ensuring the health and well being of participants, but at raising money for the ongoing maintenance of the Rowella Hall and it’s facilities, for the local community.
Queechy Titans Touch Football Club
The Queechy Titans Touch Football Club is a new entity born from the merger of two successful clubs in the Launceston Touch Association, the Queechy Storm and the Titans Touch club. Heritage Isle is pleased to be sponsoring this new formed Club, and looks forward to supporting its players in the Launceston Touch Football competition over the coming seasons.
Trevallyn Cricket Club
Trevallyn Cricket Club has a long and proud history and Heritage Isle is pleased to begin it’s association with the club in the 2011/12 fixture.
Exeter High School
Heritage Isle sponsor an annual award for a grade 10 high school student who exhibits outstanding results in an academic, sporting or service related capacity. Heritage Isle management staff also participate in the Mock-Interview process to assist Grade tens with their impending progression to the workforce. Heritage Isle believe that it is important to involve ourselves in the lives of students from a young age, we do this by recognising their achievements and assisting them in the transition from school to the workforce. To have positive influence on a student’s life is a very encouraging reward for our efforts.
Beaconsfield Primary School
Heritage Isle sponsor an annual award for a grade 6 student who demonstrates outstanding academic results. Heritage Isle staff regularly visit the school to enhance the financial literacy of the students, which Heritage Isle see as a major benefit to their futures.
George Town Christmas Parade
Heritage Isle is a proud sponsor of this event which showcases the ingenuity and community spirit of the George Town people. With a wide ranging variety of floats the parade is always a highlight of the local Christmas calendar.
George Town Cricket Club
Heritage Isle has been a proud sponsor of the club for many years, providing support for the clubs members by way of assisting with end of year trophies. The club has both junior and senior teams that play in the NTCA competition.
Port Dalrymple School
Heritage Isle sponsors an annual award for a grade 10 high school student who exhibits outstanding results in an academic, sporting or service related capacity. The award is presented by the local Branch Manager.
Star Of The Sea College
Heritage Isle sponsors an annual award for a grade 10 high school student who exhibits outstanding results in an academic, sporting or service related capacity. The award is presented by the local Branch Manager.
Tam O’Shanter Golf Club Inc.
Heritage Isle Credit Union has been assisting with sponsorship of the golf club’s “Farmers Day Golf Tournament” since they became part of the Farmers Day Tour in 2010. The tournament draws a large contingent of country people to smaller country golf clubs.
