Whether you're shopping, holidaying, dining out, almost anywhere in the world, your Heritage Isle Visa Card is a very versatile way to pay. The Heritage Isle Visa access card is linked directly to your savings account (S1). So you have instant access to your account whenever you need it, from virtually every location worldwide. Your Visa Card provides you access at EFTPOS locations and through most ATMs.

You can withdraw up to $800 per transaction from EFTPOS, and up to $800 per day at an ATM. Merchants or other institutions may impose additional restrictions. Your Visa Card is a "debit" card and all transactions are charged to your savings account in the same way as your cheque and cash withdrawals are charged to your account.

Use RediATM Network for all your ATM withdrawals to avoid ATM Owner charges. These fees are charged by the ATM owner to use their Machine. A locator guide for all our RediATMS in Australia, is available at www.rediatm.com.au, or for our Tamar Valley RediATMs click here

When cheque(s) are deposited to your savings account, these funds may not be accessible for withdrawal until the cheque(s) has been cleared. You may apply for a special clearance on such cheques to have access to funds earlier. (A fee may be applicable.)

When paying for goods and services with Visa, you can spend right up to the balance of your account by pressing the Credit Button at the Merchant Terminal. By pressing Credit, you have the opportunity to either input your PIN or sign for the transaction. Heritage Isle Credit Union, recommends using your PIN, as this makes the process at the POS machine faster, since there is no need for the shop assistant to check the signature. Remember to allow enough money to cover any fees and charges. This includes any overdraft you may already have arranged. (Refer to relative Terms & Conditions). Your funds are accessible to you at any time. Services that can be performed by the cardholder are: Withdrawals, Deposits, Balance Enquiries.

Things You Should Know

Cardholders should carefully read the terms and conditions relating to the Visa Card, especially in relation to the liability for any loss arising from the theft, loss or misuse of the Visa Card. A conditions of use pamphlet will be given to you when enquiring, applying for and receiving your Visa Card. Never let your card out of your sight. Memorise your PIN (Personal Identification Number). Do not give your PIN to anyone.

Should your card become lost or stolen phone one of our branches or the Hotline 1800 224 004 immediately. Retain your Visa vouchers and check them against your statement which you will receive on a monthly basis or on request. Should you wish to dispute an EFT transaction (these are transactions where a cardholder has operated an ATM or EFTPOS device) or wish to query an EFT entry on a periodic statement there are facilities available which will have these transactions investigated. Please phone your local branch for assistance. You may use your card at any shop displaying the Visa Symbol in Australia and Overseas.

Joint Accounts
Each joint member may apply for a Visa Card. Where a member would like a card issued to a third party, who is not the shareholder on the account, they may be issued with a subsidiary card.

Subsidiary Cards
A Cardholder may elect to have an additional card(s) attached to their account. These additional cards are usually called Subsidiary cards. Subsidiary cardholders are required to provide government identification information. By authorising someone to have a card, which is attached to your account, you may enable that person to have access to the balance of your account. Should you choose to cancel such a card you will be required to contact your local branch. A subsidiary card may not be cancelled until this card has been surrendered to the Credit Union.

How do you collect your Visa Card?

Your PIN number and acknowledgement advice will be posted to you through your designated mailing address. To collect your card you are required to complete this acknowledgement advice and return it to your local branch so that you may collect your card. You cannot collect your card without this completed acknow-ledgement advice. In the event that you lose your acknowledgement advice you may ask one of our helpful Member Service Officers for assistance.
