As a community member based Credit Union it is Heritage Isle Credit Unions' policy to minimize our fees and charges while at the same time ensuring our members continue to receive the best possible financial services at the lowest possible price.

As we are all aware the way we operate our accounts has changed, mainly due to technology such as the introduction of extensive ATM and EFTPOS facilities. This has resulted in a significant increase in transaction levels.

These transactions are very expensive for the Credit Union and have increased operating costs, which the Credit union absorbs to the maximum.

Remember, many competitors pass on these costs through various fees and have been doing so for some time.

Some of the Credit Union fees and charges are not initiated by the Credit Union and are unavoidable if we wish to continue providing a high level of member convenient services. For example the ATM transactions are made through other financial institutions ATMs. These institutions also have operating costs.

A variety of other charges are initiated by our clearing agency and cover their processing costs.

We have always attempted to keep our fees at a fair operating minimum and offer our members easy ways to avoid the majority of fees including offering a number of free transactions per month.
